Pottawatomie Massacre
The importance of the Pottawatomie Massacre was that it showed that people were willing to kill for anti-slavery or pro-slavery. This meant that there would be a lot of rivalry between the North and the South and not just a smug look, but battling between each other.
This picture of the Pottawatomie Massacre shows how John Brown and his anti-slavery group dragged helpless pro-slavery civilians out into the streets and hacked their heads with broad swords. John Brown has killed 5 victims himself.
